Me Time Essentials is committed to the protection of your privacy.  You have the right to ask for a copy of the information Me Time Essentials hold about you.

Who are we?

 

We are an independent retailer providing handcrafted skincare products and are located in Chelmsford, Essex.  We offer a comprehensive range of handcrafted skincare products suited to any individual’s needs.  We are based in Chelmsford, but also regularly travel to craft fairs within Essex.

 

How do we obtain information from you?

 

We collect information from you when using our website and its intended functions when you contact us about products and services.

When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.  Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

 

What type of information is collected from you?

 

The personal information that is potentially collected could be your name, address, email address, IP address, telephone number, and information regarding what pages are accessed and when optionally we may collect your company name if specified.

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way.  In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history.  We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page.  We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

By entering into a contract to do business, your payment information is processed by our third-party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions, as explained below.  We do not collect, store, handle or observe payment information, credentials or a transaction.

 

How do we store, use, share and disclose your personal information?

 

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform.  Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.  Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications.  They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.  PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

 

How is your information used?

 

We may use your information in the following ways:

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis.  We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations.  We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us.  For example, as long as required by law to hold order and transaction information, to file accounts or information held by us in order to arrange for appearances at various craft fairs.  The only data which we keep due to legal obligations are invoices and email records.

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you.  For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

 

Who has access to your information?

 

We may transfer your personal information to a third party as part of a sale of some or all of our business and assets to any third party or as part of any business restructuring or reorganisation, or if we’re under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation or to enforce or apply our terms of use or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers.  However, we will take steps with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected.

The accuracy of your information is important to us.  We are working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that we hold about you.  In the meantime, if you change email address or any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please email us at info@metimeessentials.co.uk.

Like many other websites, the Me Time Essentials website uses cookies.  'Cookies' are small pieces of information sent by an organisation to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognise you when you visit.  They collect statistical data about your browsing actions and patterns and do not identify you as an individual.  This helps us to improve our website and deliver a better more personalised service.

As part of the services offered to you through this website, the information which you provide to us may be transferred to countries outside the United Kingdom (“UK”).  By way of example, this may happen if any of our servers are from time to time located in a country outside of the UK.  These countries may not have similar data protection laws to the UK.  By submitting your personal data, you are agreeing to this transfer, storing or processing.  If we transfer your information outside of the UK in this way, we will take steps to ensure that appropriate security measures are taken with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlined in this Policy.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES POLICY

We hope that you are delighted with your order.  However, if for any reason you are not entirely satisfied, then please get in touch, we will do our best to help.

As per the Distance Selling Regulations Act, we offer our customers the option to return their order should it arrive damaged. You have 7 days from the day the order is delivered to let us know you wish to return the order.

​

Due to the handmade nature of our products, no two handmade items are exactly alike. Variations in colour, texture and shape are inherent in a handmade item.  No two items are alike, so that every single one is one-of-a-kind. This means that every handmade item you purchase is also one-of-a-kind. 

We cannot take responsibility for incorrect delivery addresses entered at the checkout.  Any loss caused by incorrect addresses, financial or otherwise, will be your responsibility, unless the negligence is ours.

Faulty items?

 

Please contact us and send us photographs of the damaged or faulty items within 48 hours of delivery.  Damaged items do not need to be returned to us, photographic evidence is sufficient, and refunds awarded on a case-by-case basis.  We will always discuss options of either a replacement, if available, or refund.

​

If the goods you receive are damaged in any way, we will be happy to exchange the items or offer you a full refund or partial refund. If the item is damaged, please email sales@metimeessentials.co.uk within 48 hrs of your delivery.  To ensure prompt resolution, please provide the order number and photo evidence and keep the box, packing materials and the damaged/faulty items for inspection.

 

Changed your mind?

​

Refunds will be accepted within 14 days of delivery of your order, if returned unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition as was sent.  Due to the nature of these products, sadly items that have been opened will not be accepted as returns.

​

If you return items for reasons other than defects in the goods, or incomplete, or incorrect delivery, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the items to us at your own cost.  Please note we can only accept items that have been unused and unopened. If you require a refund, we will refund the price paid by you for the goods (minus standard delivery charge) within fourteen (14) days of receiving your returned goods. Refunds will only be made against the original credit/debit card used.

This policy is only applicable to purchases made online via our website; we are unable to process returns for purchases made from any craft fairs we have attended.

​

To return your order:

​

Email us at sales@metimeessentials.co.uk with your order details including your name, email, order number, date of purchase, items being returned and reason for doing so.

​

However you return your parcel, please retain your proof of postage in order to provide proof to us that you have returned the goods in the unlikely event that we do not receive the returned parcel. We cannot accept liability for returned goods lost in transit, so we would recommend sending the goods with tracked service.

If you have requested an exchange or replacement, this will be processed within 7 working days of receiving your returned goods and will be delivered via standard delivery.
